Modena Padded Lounge Armchair – nailheads

Solid Italian beech wood lounge armchair. Includes padded waterfall seat using high-density flame retardant foam. Uholstered inside and outside back with a wood frame and crumb gap. Pavar’s standard nailheads at inside back perimeter (as shown in image: natural spacing) and standard rounded nylon nail-in glides. Available in Pavar’s standard stain color options (water based) and a 35° sheen top-coat lacquer.

NOTE: Pavar does not recommend the use of any fabric, vinyl or leather that includes stripes, plaids, geometrics and similar patterns ON THIS MODEL, due to the curvature and decreasing pitch radius of the frame. Selecting patterns with these features will incur a surcharge.

STANDARD WIPING STAINS

Hand-Applied, Exposure of Wood Grain.

A wiping stain finish is achieved by over-applying the stain color and then wiping it off before it dries. It achieves a finish that is far more natural in appearance than standard spray stains.

A wiping stain showcases the wood grain and celebrates the natural variations in wood tones.

STANDARD SPRAY STAINS

Uniform, Even Stain Application.

Standard stain finishes are achieved through a steady and evenly applied stain using spray stain guns. In contrast to a wiping stain, the spray stain is left to dry and provides more coverage to the wood grain. Darker stain finishes tend to soften the look of the wood grain.

DISTRESSED FINISH

Aged & Weathered.

To distress the finish, the sander is used on the surface of the furniture, once the paint has dried.

With an emphasis on the edges, a gentle sanding distresses the paint and lacquer allowing the
underlying base color and/or raw wood to show through.

ANTIQUE FINISH

Scratches, Notches, and Dents.

An antique finish is a process by which we notch, dent, and strike the wood to give the appearance of an aged piece of furniture, adding depth and character.

L-SHAPPED GUARDRAILS

CHROME L-SHAPED – included, standard option.

A chrome L-shaped guardrail is included on the front stretcher for all barstools and ADA stools.
Brass and black L-shaped guardrails are available and will incur a surcharge.
